Another Which Graphics Card question...

I'm looking into getting a decent graphics card and would appreciate some advice. I'm a bit of a sucker for really pretty stuff so am willing to pay in the region of £300-£400 plus the price of a better power supply if needed. Anyway I have the HP Pavilion Elite HPE-485uk (linked below) I've upgraded the ram to 16Gig of Crucial and swapped out the harddrives for better ones but I'm a bit lost as to what is going to work regarding the graphics card. Seem to have a preference towards Radeon cards rather than GeForce.

Well you cannot do Crossfire/sli so a HD 6970 would be my choice. http://www.scan.co.uk/shop/computer-hardware/all/gpu-amd/radeon-hd6970-pci-e-(1536-cores)
But if I had the cash I could also be tempted by the Nvidia 580. http://www.scan.co.uk/shop/computer-hardware/all/gpu-nvidia/nvidia-geforce-gtx580-pci-e-(512-cores)

I would go with nvidia Gtx 580 as per gengiscant's link it's the top dog at the moment if you can afford it, And from a gaming prospective the nvidia card also opens up physix to you
