Can't run The Sims 3 game on my laptop

I've installed the game correctly but i can't play it well.

At first it told me that the d3dx_9.dll file is missing and i've updated it with the latest direct x. Well, there's no more problem of that . Then, when i tried to run it once more, came out a message told that i need a new video graphic card or update it.

But, i don't know how to update it and i'm also completely out of pocket money . If i'd like to buy one, how to choose the right graphic card? Or i just simply need to update mine?

If possible, can i play it without a video graphic card?

P/s: I've checked for my graphic card and it stated that it is Intel Graphic Media

Operating System: Windows Vista Ultimate , Service Pack 1

In your post you have not mentioned your laptop make and model which is always useful to know.
No, you can not run your game without your graphics card, which in your laptop is built into the motherboard. You wouldn't be able to run your laptop.What you can do is update the driver for your graphics card. But will need to know what your laptop is.
The updated driver will be free so no damage to your pocket.
Post back with make and model and I will try and find the driver for you.

Well, i don't know how to find the graphic card and i've search for info in internet and i've followed it, but i'm not sure if the graphic card slot is Intel Graphic Media . It stated that it is accelerator for mobile .
My laptop model is Acer Aspire 2715Z . Is that what u want to know?

So its an Aspire 4715z not 2715z, no wonder I could not find it.

Here are the specs for your PC click here
Drivers here click here

You need the VGA so you will need to scroll down the list till you see it then download and install. Hopefully that will sort your problem

Sorry, you guys. I had a bit confusion here .

The laptop Acer is having problem with the game as it says:

<i>"Unable to start game
Service initialization failed (0x0175dcbb)"</i>

And then, i also try install it on other notebook .
So, the one with problem with the graphic card is this one. A MESSAGE told me that:
"Unable to start the game
Device 0 cannot run this tittle.
No supported video graphic card detected. Please check your system hardware."

So, there's 2 problem here. Each of different notebook . Sorry again for the confusion >_<

FYI, for the second pro, the details are as below:

OS : Windows 7 Starter 32-bit
System manufacturer & model : Hewlett-Packard (HP Mini 110-3100)
Default System BIOS
Processor : Intel Atom @ 1.83ghz (2 CPUs), ~ 1.8GHz
Memory : 1024MB RAM , 977MB available
Directx version : DirectX 11

124, I've checked with the website that u gave . If my processor is Intel Atom, can it be used to play the game?

P/s the graphic card used is also Intel Graphics Media (Accelerator Driver for Mobile)

So the Acer is saying"Unable to start game
Service initialization failed (0x0175dcbb)"

For the above problem, is your game fully patched?

And the HP is saying "No supported video graphic card detected. Please check your system hardware"

Is this correct.

Just a BTW, but i honestly dont think that sims 3 is gonna run on a netbook....
