xbox 360 stock hard drive replacement

Hi

I have always considered upgrading the stock 20 GB hard drive but the MS branded ones are far too expensive. I then found out that it’s just a standard sata hard drive inside a caddy. Pcadvisor had an article about this recently.

However from what I can find on the internet it’s apparently only the hard drive mentioned in that link that is compatible. Is this true? I understand that it’s got to be formatted in fat32 and the Xbox can only read up to 120GB, is this true?

Thanks Alan
