I'm playing FEAR for a second time but since my first play through it I've upgraded to AVG 8 pro.
I'm sure the game is running a bit slower now.
Would more RAM cure it,or not?.

I doubt more ram would cure it, try and see if you have other programs running in the background that may be slowing your pc down.

If your not playing online, you could shut avg down before you play ( in fact shut down every thing you don't need) See if it makes a difference. I found that when I went back to medal of honor airborne after cod4 I thought the game was slow and camera angle rather odd, it was just that I got used to the way cod4 did things.

Cheers.

I got into the habit of just minimising the browser while playing games and that caused no problems but when I was doing that with avg8,things got a bit jerky. The advice given has helped. I now close the browser and alls well.

Thanks.
Nig.
