Mac Alternative?

I am researching laptop options for a "mac" alternative to use for media. I am a mac user, and love the power of my macbook pro, but the project that I am purchasing this for is a community project and not a lot of volunteers who may be using this would be comfortable or competent using a mac. Therefore, its probably going to be a windows based option. We want to use it for playing videos overhead, powerpoint/keynote, through to everyday use. I have around £1k to spend and I am willing to wait until the January sales, but need it before Feb 6th when I will test run it by running a presentation on it to prospective investors. The project is a non-profit UK registered charity.
Not sure if this is relevant, but I like the idea of a laptop converting to a tablet….

The machine you've linked to is an excellent choice. Apart from its ability to transform itself into a tablet its build quality makes it the ideal computer for the hard work it's going to do.
Frankly I wouldn't look any further.
