Cheap dedicated servers?

My business website is hosted by Hostroute on a shared server. Recently, we've had a lot of emails bouncing back (not good for business!) and when I asked Hostroute about this they said someone who was sharing our server had been sending spam and so the server was on a block list. They have requested removal from the list but to no avail. I'm guessing that a dedicated server is the only way around this and Hostroute have yet to get back to me with a price for this, so I'm shopping around.

I'm not too technically savvy so I don't understand what most people are offering but I'm guessing even the most basic package is more than I need (very simple website, no ecommerce or anything like that) but even the most basic is so expensive! The cheapest dedicated server I've found is £30 a month - is it possible to find anything cheaper than this? Or is there a cheaper solution to the bouncing email problem?

Many thanks :)

Jill

Thank you so much, ajm - that's a perfect solution! I've explained the problem to them and they've offered me my money back if I'm not happy. Brilliant!
