Suggestions for voicemail/messaging system

Hi
This might be a bit of a long shot but thought I'd ask the question. I have a network of shops and want to set up what you might describe as a voicemail system. The main objective is to improve communication so I can record a message/give information which each shop can ring in to. In an ideal work we would be able to also leave individual messages for shops.
We have BT lines and don't have pcs in each shop - otherwise I could just use email!
Can anyone point me in the right (low cost) direction as I don't really know where to start looking.
Thanks

Thanks Proclaimer - will certainly take a look at this.
The other thought I had involved a standard BT type voicemail on each phone line couple with one of the internet services that I think is meant more for direct marketing where I could record a message that would then ring a predetermined list of numbers, and leave that message.
Any experience on those types of services?

click here their network offers FREE phone numbers (0500 prefix) and each office can then call the other office for free on the VOIP Phone
