Zune not working well

Hello :) Zune doesn't seem to be working for me.. I have Windows 7 Home Premium.

What happens is Zune loads, but it doesn't seem to load my phone most of the time, and about 9/10th of the time I load it up, my portable harddrive stops working, and the internet stops.

Any solutions? Sam
