anti virus needed for iphone?

My daughter has just bought an iphone 4, and is wondering is she should have anti virus protection for it. If it's required, she's hoping for something free or low cost.
Previously she had an Android phone, and had AVG anti virus, but she understands that this is not suitable for Apple products.
Its difficult to find out any information about this. If anyone could advise us, we would be grateful please.

Anti-virus is not needed for the iPhone or iPad. She should download the Find My iPhone app. She can then locate it from any computer and remotely lock or remotely wipe its data.
