Lost phone, blocked SIM card and messages

I've recently lost my phone, I've phoned up and had it blocked so no one can use it. I contacted my network for a replacement SIM card but its taking an age to get here. When I get my new sim and put it in another phone will I receive any messages that I would of received while the sim was blocked?
