Resolved

Hi,

I have just got my shiny new Samsung Ace and want to music stored on my sd card as a ringtone. When I go to phone ringtone on sound settings, all I can see are ringtones, likewise on notification ringtone.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

I have s2, but should be similar. Set it through your music app, not phone settings. Open your music files, select your track you want for ring tone and in menu options you should be able to choose set as ringtone

Thanks for that. The music has now become a ringtone on the phone ringtone list. It has not appeared on the notification ringtone, do you know how to get a music track there?

I've had a look on the music settings but nothing jumps out!

Thanks for your help

Was there not an option to set as current ringtone? If not, then can you now select that ringtone through your sound settings?

No, the option was to "use as ringtone" and then the track appeared in the ringtone list accessed through sound settings, under incoming calls, phone ringtone.

The notifications option has notification ringtone and the track does not appear.

Sorry, I don't think I can help further, your phone is different to mine. I can only suggest Google
