samsung galaxy3 serious security hole

the article shows how to stop the hole it says "to guard against the attacks is to switch off "service loading" in settings, and disable QR code and NFC apps. " in galaxy3 cannot find service loading can anyone help please, got no QR or NFC in apps either?

Have you downloaded the latest software update?
It is apps that use QR or NFC not QR and NFC apps.
See this Check if your device is vulnerable.
IMHO the risk is overstated.

woolwell thanks downloaded the large firmware update about a week ago, checked today no update.

My latest update automatically appeared when I connected to Samsung Kies on PC.
