Take out o2 mobile SIM card and use it in an o2 dongle?

Hello everyone.

Am currently on o2 Pay and Go on my mobile phone with the "Text and Web" tariff.

As per the title, is it possible to take out my o2 mobile SIM card and use it in an o2 dongle for Internet access or not?

Will I still be able to use the same allowance from the phone for Internet usage in the dongle?

Is there anything in particular that I need to do so that this can work?

Also forgot to ask if my text messages on the phone will not be lost by using the SIM in the dongle?
