I have just purchased a Sony Ericsson Experia Mini Android phone and it appears to be costing me about 20p per hour just to keep it switched on. Is this correct?

What tariff are you on? I have a '3' tariff that cost me £12/month for a 12 month contract and gives me each month 300 minutes of calls, 1000 text and 500 MB of data access so my total cost is £12/month inclusive of all my use. How do you calculate 20p/hour?

You might like to consider this tariff http://www.delightmobile.co.uk/view/info/compareus.aspx
Delight Mobile (Effective Rates/minute)
Fixed landline 1p
Mobile 10p
Text 10p
Data 1000 MB Free each month after you top up

If you leave it connected to the WWW it may be doing an ET 'phone home' to get/check your emails.

It was the sync that was costing me mony. Calculated easily because I am using PAYG in a sim freephone.
Thanks everyone. Sorted.
