Locate a lost android phone

I have just purchased a HTC wildfire S phone and have installed the "Locate my phone" app. What is the best way to trck the phone if if becomes lost or stolen

If it is the App Where's my Droid then you have to set up a keyword that you text to it when you have left it on silent and it will ring a set tone on loud.
