Sony Ericsson Satio user problem!

How can I get a sensible ringtone for my Satio, wihtout running into loads of scam sites, please? I really want Apache, or something similar, but can't work out how to do it - getting senile, I'm afraid. Sure it must be very easy - help, please?

From the Satio Specifications,

"Music tones - MP3, AAC Use original artist recordings as ringtones."

With a bit of DIY,

1st, Join we7 for free we7 dot com

once a member Play Apache by the Shadows

to record it, get Audacity (1.2 or 1.3) Download

don't forget to get & Install the LAME MP3 encoder (to save as an mp3) Lame mp3 codec

Page 60 Transferring and handling content, To use mass storage,

"1 Connect the USB cable to the phone and the computer.

2 Phone: Select Mass storage.

3 Computer: Wait until your memory card appears as the external disk in Microsoft® Windows® Explorer.

4 Computer: On the computer desktop, double-click the My Computer icon.

5 Computer: To view the memory card folders, double-click the icon representing your memory card.

6 Copy and paste your file, or drag and drop it, into a folder on your computer or on your memory card."

Thankyou Lazarus. I know you meant to help, but your instructions caused me some difficulty. It wiped off my tool bar, and replaced it with some grotty toolbar which wanted me to sign up for all sorts of unwanted programs. I had to do a system restore to get rid of it. Think I will have to find another way of getting my Apache ringtone
