I have a Motorola Defy not a bad all round phone. The problem I am having is that the very flush rocker on the side that controls the volume will only work one way, it only decreases the sound and is a right nuisance, so does anyone know how to fix this or as a secondary fix does anyone know of a software app that will control the volume for the included radio. I have d/l a few but they will only control the music player and not the radio volume so it remains very low

Does this help "To set volume for media and videos, from the home screen, touch Menu > Settings > Sound & display > Media volume."?
I think that you should contact Motorola about the volume control and see what they say. It may need a repair.
