cannot connect home to bluetooth PAN

After successful pairing, right click on the Bluetooth icon, select join a personal area network.

old phone Nokia 2500 followed instructions clicked connect and it worked fine

upgraded to Blackberry Curve 8520 - it pairs alright - but cannot be found when PAN seleceted.

can the PC use Blackberry to onnect to internet or has it stepped backwards??

It uses dial-up network.
