Changing Apple ID in iTunes on iPhone

My son has an original iPhone & we need to change his Apple ID, but when he loads up iTunes on the iPhone the old ID pops up & asks for password.
The ID was changed on the pc no problem (from an old Wanadoo email address to our current BT one).

The option to type in new ID is their, but having done all this & resetting password - the old ID pops up again. I can't imagine that you have to reload iTunes again surely?

Had no joy with Apple, unless I want to pay $30 for help.
