Nokia6300 with water damage.

My brothers phone phone has water damage.
He managed to get it all dried and working again. But it will not charge.
I have tried the battery on my phone and it works Ok.
Message on his phone says.Charger not Supported.
Anybody any ideas as whether it is now scrap or not or whether it can be easily fixed.

Is it covered by Home Insurance?

Not sure about home insurance. It only cost about £60 to renew it so I don't think the insurance would cover it as you have to pay the first £50-£100 pounds with claims normally.
Not sure if restoring it back to factory settings would do it but would need to find the security number for it first.
I believe he still has the box that it came in so just a matter of getting the handbook out and check the codes.

Ok just restored it to factory settings and that did not help.
So probably a bin case so will now class this as resolved.

How long has the drying process taken you? I have read that it can take a couple of weeks to dry a phone out properly, under a light bulb seemed a good option.

It has been at least 6 weeks now.Everything else is working it just will not take a charge.I can charge the battery up on my phone so there is nothing wrong with the Battery.
