Samsung M3200 Bluetooth Contacts List Problem

I have just replaced my Motorola V3 with a Samsung beat M3200.
I use a bluetooth connection to my Garmin Nuvi sat-nav in the car for hands free phoning - the Motorola works fine but I have a problem with the Samsung. It will send and receive calls OK - but the address book is crippled.
The problem is that the address book displayed on the sat-nav includes only the mobile phone numbers from the Samsung contacts list. Land line numbers are not included. The Motorola shows all phone numbers, so the problem appears to be with the Samsung phone and not the sat-nav.
I cannot see any setting on the Samsung to correct the problem - anyone know of a fix....?
