turkcell 3g broadband modem

This modem works very well on my laptop, but will not connect on my desktop. ( Shows waiting to connect screen, good UMTS signal strength and all symbols indicate operational) but goes no further)

I have tried a number of ways to improve this situation - physically removed dialup modem from my machine, installed and reinstalled dozens of times (the software is on the actual dongle). I also tried placing the laptop right on top of the computer, in case there was some sort of blind spot, checked that all drivers had appeared in Device Manager.

Local "Helpdesk" useless, and can only suggest uninstall and reinstall.

All hopeless! Please, can anyone help - my main ISP account will expire in 8 days, and I have already paid for a year with this one!

Saw your message by pure chance.
I am in Uk but have house in Karsiyaka and installed the 3g usb dongle onto my desktop pc this month with no problem.
Seems you have done everything right so far.

Just one suggestion - try installing it on a friends PC to see if will still connect etc.
