nokia 6500 slide.Silence!

hello all

hoping someone can help me,i have a nokia 6500 slide ive had this phone for about 6 months now.

my problem is when i call someone or when someone calls me i cant hear them but they can hear me,but i can text with no probs

im not sure if ive changed a setting or something,or weather it a hardware prob.

could anyone point me in the right direction,any help would be much appreciated
