Convert Hauppauge MPEG to DVD format

The Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-T-500 records from live TV onto the PC HDD in MPEG movie clip format.
I need to play the recordings on a standard DVD player.
How can I convert the MPEG file to a format that I can put on a DVD and play on a standard DVD player.

If you haven't got Nero,

Try this, (The Version I use is v5, Does the job for me).
