No wireless connection after Vista recovery

I have done a system recovery on my husband's Compaq laptop after a trojan (the recovery from the partition) and now, although it recognises the wireless network, it won't connect to it. I've checked the drivers, they're all up to date. What do I do next?

Turn the wireless router off for 10 seconds and on again and see if that helps.

or have a look in device manager for yellow exclamation marks.
