I have a Windows Vista Basic SP2 installed Dell Inspiron 1750. I noticed that it was stuttering now and again during use and that the memory usage and hard drive usage was high and due to other various issues I tested the hardware (all OK) and ended up reinstalling it from the recovery partition. Afterwards all seemed OK, but time after time I noticed when booting up sometimes it would BSOD and reboot. So, turned off the autoreboot and now I find the error is:-
STOP c0000269 {illegal system DLL relocation} Exception processing message c0000269 parameters 7ff7710
Any help on this would be appreciated.

You could try this, though its XP it should still work.
