cannot access program because of data execution prevention

hi,ive got a lap top that has windows vista premium and this program wont let me access some of my own programs saying d.e.p wont allow because of risks to my computer.ive gone through all the app tabs to try and solve the problem ( ie allow programs i select )but my computer wont let me endorse that request....hope someone can help
