So about 10-30 minutes after starting up (depending on power setting) my computer either freezes, or within the space of 10 seconds slows down, and gets a BSOD. keeping in mind it's not a very new laptop, with only 2gb RAM, and i'm not a computer expert, can anyone suggest anything?? Help would be greatly appreciated Cheers, Pete

I'll do it soon, I'm away from my computer for the next couple of days, sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Chkdsk runs at startup normally, and doesn't come across any problems. However if I try and run it through cmd it just says "The file system is NTFS" And doesn't do anything else. Every time I have tried to run an AVG scan it hasn't completed as my laptop has frozen.
