hard drive

a problem has been detected and windows has shut down. The screen says disable or uninstall any anti-virus, disc de-fragmentation or back-up utilities. Computer does not respond to any command. We some-how managed to get on diagnostics and it says there is an error code 2000-0142, status 79. Help!

Hard drive is a device which is used to store and retrieve digital information. A hard drive uses similar memory storage technology to cassette tapes and video tapes. You may already know that tapes store information on long, thin strips of tape with a delicate magnetic material on its surface.
