I tried to reinstall Vista on my failed computer but it installed on the secondary HD instead and was very soon stopped by the Microsoft Police. I now need to remove the Vista Windows foder from the drive so I can use it safely again but it won't let me, even when I use command prompt. Advice needed, please.

P.S. I presently have the drive in a caddy attached by USB to my new Win7 computer.

I don't want to do that because the drive has a lot of stuff I don't want to lose. Just want to remove the unwanted Windows.

I tried to copy the files elsewhere but windows prevented me from deleting some because I was not a "trusted" something or other. I found a solution on the Microsoft website but it was complicated !! All now sorted, thanks for the help.
