Vista Basic update installed now my system is stuck in classic view

Hi can anyone help, I installed an update on my Vista Basic and after restarting my system it has revertered back to classic view. I am unable to change this.
Help Please

Can you uninstall the update or do a system restore?

Just come across this piece of advice:-
"I found that if you go to Computer, right click on it, go to Manage, then go to Services on the left hand column, scroll down until you find Themes, left click it and then in the top left corner of that part of the screen there is a Restart Service link that you can click on, click on it, it will restart the service for Themes. Once it's done restarting the service for Themes, right click on your Desktop, go to Personalize and if you change your theme, your Vista Basic theme should be back. Hopefully this helps someone out."
