Trying to access Documents, Pictures etc It now goes into Windows Explorer first WHY, can I stop this as it all seems to have slowed down dramatically

Windows 7 libraries feature is defaulted to open in Windows Explorer. Have a look at this article explaining how you can hide the components of "libraries" if you wish - there are ways of "hiding" folders and a registry change to "remove" the libraries function if you don't want it - although I wouldn't recommend this unless you absolutely do not want this facility.

Sorry - misread the post and thought I was in the Windows 7 Forum! Here is an article giving a work around for the Vista problem.
