I have Windows Vista and there are 5 Windows updates that won't install. It is always 5 updates. Looking at the log there are 5 fails followed by 1 success. It always seems to be the same updates for about 10 days that fail but at any one time the message says "Unable to install" 5 Updates. Sometimes the reason given is "Incorrect configuration". Can any one help please.

Shot in the dark - have you got a bit of software from your bank called Rapport Trusteer installed? I've had 5 Vista PCs in recent weeks where this has been causing update problems (among others, but only on Vista.

Have a look at your installed updates to check if they are already installed.
