run-time error 429 activex component can't create object

I am trying to run a programe which is used in a geneology setup. Out of the blue the programe failed to load. To try and cure the problem by uninstaling and reloading. I now receive the error (run-time error 429 activex component can't create object) I am using office 2007. Any help in solving this problem would be of great help.

This is usually an indication that you need to update your version of DirectX.

Get the latest version by clicking here

You will probably need to uninstall your program first, and then reinstall it once you've updated DirectX
