internet explorer download error 80073712

I am running vista 32 and I am trying to download I.E. which was deleted by mistake. I have been using Firefox but I need to download I Tunes so I can download apps to my Iphone and cant seem to download it on Firefox. I get the above error.. Can anyone help me to fix this please

Have a look in control panel, programs- uninstall a program- then on left select Turn Windows features on or off. When the box loads tick the box for IE.

Its not on the list so what do I do now..Thanks..Also Firefox wont load either now I am having to use opera

Try a system restore to an earlier date. If that won't work then run a system file checker, sfc Note it will restore any themes you have to default.
