How to get rid of System Tool from my PC

Hi, This afternoon System Tool appeared on my screen, can anyone please tell me how I can get it out of my PC. It has told me I am infested with seemingly all the trojans & viruses known to man. I know it is a scam but Idont have a clue how to delete it. Thanks Mac

Hi, Thanks for your reply, in the end I reformatted my PC before I read your reply. Still it will be a help to anyone else who gets caught with that con. Thanks Mac
