I have scoured the Knowledge base etc but cannot find a solution to this.

In WMP the 'recently played files' is greyed out.

This is a new install: Vista Ultimate64 sp2.

In Options I have checked the box about save history...etc. I have unchecked it rebooted and checked it...rebooted..etc - No Joy!

Has anybody experienced/resolved this problem?

Try using MediaMonkey. Its Free.
