Big .Exe Files Freezes

Every time i go to open a big .exe file on windows vista the browser its in freezes and dont do nothing, these are mainly to install programs not to open programs, anyone got nay suggestions?

Maybe your security or firewall is blocking them.
Does it recover on it's own... how do you "unfreeze it".

To unfreeze it i have to open windows task manager to close the browser otherwise it just stays frozen for ages

If your PC's Hard Drive is Fragmented, it will take a while to open the .exe because it has to scour the Hard Drive for the right pieces of information. Try Defragging.

Ty i will try this as my hard drive is fragmented so it might work :)
