I have win Vista on my laptop, for some reason when my laptop is left on without using it for a period of time the laptop will not start when i click the mouse or press a key as it used to, the power button on the laptop is not lit up eithier.
I have to press the power buttton as I do when first booting the PC up the I get a "Resuming windows" screen.
I would like to have laptop back the way it was if possible.

Sounds if its conserving power does this happen whether you are running mains or on battery.
Mine does just the same when the lid is closed or left for more than 5 minuets, as far as I know you can alter the settings for this.
