Outlook 2003 not saving email passwords with Vista

I am using Vista 64 bit and have installed Outlook 2003 but Outlook will not save the password for the email accounts. I went to the MS site and this is a known bug and there is a repair when using Windows XP by editing the registery file, however MS state that this repair should not be attempted with Vista. Does anyone have a solution to this this problem?

Got Vista 64 bit with Outlook and never had this problem. Machine away until next Wed. Will have a look at my settings then
