Windows Mail

On starting up my laptop,I keep getting the message "Windows Mail can compact the message store.This may take up to a few minutes".I've never used Windows Mail (I use BT Yahoo Mail).My laptop runs Vista Home Premium SP2.Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this message?

go to control panel and administative tools then look in your start up to see if windows mail is ticked to start,if it is uncheck it
