We recently purchased a new Advent 5712 Laptop with windows vista home premium Logging on was just enter your user name and the desk top would open up.
After downloading info from my PC via an Easy PC Transfer cable to the laptop.
To Log On Now you have to hit the FN key and number lock before you can enter your user name each time you boot up.
How can i go back to just enetring the user name to log in?

Go to help and support and check Passwords. You will be given help to modify your Log In

Make sure you are Administrator not a Limited Account.
