Cannot play UDF CD on Vista

I have some data CD-R/RW created by Easy CD Creator 4 on my WinME PC in CDUDFRW file format.

When I put them into laptop with Home Premium it cannot accept file system and offers to install Adaptec UDF Reader for Windows 95/NT.
When I tried this it started to change registry and overwrite some files so I cancelled install in case it drastically altered Vista.
I have Roxio Creator DE installed.

Should I proceed with UDF Reader install or is there another way to reformat these CD using Vista/Roxio or way of reading them ?

I want to avoid having to copy all the data onto other discs or memory stick.

Install it and use System Restore if you don't like the changes it makes.
