Re-Tuning TV again and again.......

Hi All,

I have a Sony KDL40HX803 tv. In the past few weeks I have had to retune the digital channels because they appear to dissapear over night. When the tv is first turned on in the morning all that is shown is "no event information" and "no signal". The strange thing is that on occasions it is only the BBC channels that have gone, sometimes BBC and ITV channels, other freeview channels are still accessable like the music channels. Any ideas or things to check/do will be appreciated.

Sounds as if either they are tinkering with the transmitter in your area, or your aerial needs adjusting / replacing

Further to Crosstrainer2's post - what sort of signal strength have you got?

Signal strength shows as 100%. I have looked in the set up menu and under the tuning section it has two options "full scan" and "normal scan" it was set to "full scan". I have set it to "normal scan" and re-tuned, now I will wait and see what happens. Will update situation later. Thank you both for your replys.

So far so good. Not had to re-tune since I changed the scan mode. Or, activities at the transmitter that may have caused my problem have been sorted out?
