BlackBerry 8520 Can't Connect To Browser

Hi All

Just today I invested in this phone when I goto the "Browser" I get this message:

"This Is A Wi-Fi Service Please ensure your device has an active Wi-Fi Connection And Try Again"

I created a new Wi-Fi Connection by using the "scan" option and its picked up "Wlan-089A8C" Which I assume is what I need and I save, and I try to goto into the browser and I still get the same problem.

Any Ideas Please?

Thanks.

Is "Wlan-089A8C" your own router?

I believe so.

I tried to phone Orange and spoke to "Support" in India they are useless.

I tried again yesterday and spoke to a Human in the UK really helpful she logged into my phone and could see that the Blackberry service wasn't activated she enabled it but it was established there was fault with the Blackberry server so this should be fixed tomorrow hopefully.

I have the same phone and do not (have not used ) need wireless connection. It seems to work ok via GPRS provided by Virgin Media. (unlimited)
