iphone and internet connection

Hi,

I have the iPhone 3GS,and recently downloaded two apps, one was for speed cameras ,the second was a sat nav app.

When these two apps are being used,is the connection using my 3G internet or is it GPS ?

I ask because I am concerned that if the 3G is used,I may use all my 750MB (o2) allowance quite quickly

Thank you

like a speed camera or satnav application. has to use GPS in order to locate you.

Hi Forum Editor,
Thanks for the clarification.I was concerned that if it used G3 ,I would use my allowance and start paying for the extra usage.O2 don't notify you if you go over the allowance,so I was told.

Thanks again

The 750MB limit is on Orange.

O2 have supposedly have no fair use limit.
