Iphone - Bluetooth failure

I am trying to send my contacts via my old mobile phone, to my new Iphone.

Both phones have bluetooth enabled - but I have no success.

My Iphone is a named device on my old phone, but my Iphone just keeps on searching. My old phone states 'failed' when trying to bluetooth contacts.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Nothing. ITs a known limitation of the iPhone. iPhones bluetooth is for AUDIO only, you cannot do ANYTHING else with it.

Really? That is a surprise!

What would be the best way to import my contacts into an Iphone? I have tried putting in the SIM card, but it reports no or limited service. I cannot see how to do the task.

Thanks

Search the net for a app called "simport" , if your device is jailbroken its available from cydia

Thanks for replies.

Have managed to sort out my contacts - very trial and error, not sure if I put my new sim into my old phone and 'copied contacts' or vice versa, but it has worked!
