Bluetooth network

Hi, Having recently bought a HTC touch pro2 I am checking out all the functions.
Gotta say the bluetooth works straight out of the box, no messing about like normal.
However one function -bluetooth networking- leaves me stumped.
What does it do?
I can use it to connect to my pc and I see the little icons flashing saying aquiring an ip address but thats it.
If I go to bluetooth places and try to access the network service it says "cannot connect" and I can't access the pc from the phone end.
So a bit stumped, I assumed I'd be able to browse my pc from my phone and vice-versa, that's what a network link is for surely?
Anyone any ideas?
Thanks
Jon
