Download Manager Application for Android Tablet

Ever since I bought my tablet I had problems with downloading anything from the internet, even photos. I can easily install anything from Google Play Store, but only if I log in from my computer and start install from there. I have an Android Tablet PC with excellent WiFi access, that is why I thought that is something about the tablet's settings and maybe a download manager would work better. I will need a very good download manager or a way to fix the settings.
