Sky Gnome about to die!

If you remember these they receive a wireless signal from your sky box and can thereby be used as a portable radio. Mine is out in France and about to give up the ghost. So I was wondering can I tune the signal in on a digital radio I have? Tried eBay to purchase a Gnome but the asking prices are ridiculous. Is it possible to make a setup that would mimic what the Gnome does?
